The journey begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. From Lukla, the trail leads you through charming Sherpa villages like Namche Bazaar, Phortse, and Pangboche, where you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture, visit ancient monasteries, and interact with friendly locals.
As you ascend higher into the mountains, the landscape becomes more rugged and dramatic, with towering peaks dominating the horizon. Ama Dablam, with its distinctive pyramid-shaped summit, stands out as one of the most beautiful and challenging peaks in the region.
The highlight of the trek is reaching the base camp of Ama Dablam, situated at an altitude of approximately 4,600 meters. From here, you'll have a breathtaking view of the mountain's towering peak, as well as panoramic vistas of Everest, Lhotse, and other surrounding peaks.
After spending time at the base camp, soaking in the beauty of Ama Dablam and its surroundings, the journey continues with a scenic descent back to Lukla. From there, a flight takes you back to Kathmandu, where you'll have time to reflect on the unforgettable experiences you've had amidst the Himalayan landscape.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel in Thamel. Alt. 1350m/4424ft.
Greetings from Kathmandu! Our guide will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport after your arrival visa is completed. You will then be driven by a private vehicle to a hotel in Thamel, a popular attraction for tourists in the city. The Hindu temple known as Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dedicated to Lord Shiva, will be visible to us as we go. You can relax or take the opportunity of visiting Thamel's lively streets after checking in.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2820m/9249ft) and trek to Phakding (2610m/8560ft). Flight time is 35 minutes and trek time is 4 hour.
After having warm breakfast, we will take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2820m/9249ft) which is about 35 minutes. On the flight, we will witness the stunning Himalayan views. Once we reach to Lukla, then we will continue to trek to Phakding (2610m/8560ft), passing through magnificent scenery, leafy forests, and traditional Sherpa communities. Crossing the Dudh Koshi River for 4 hours, the route passes small settlements like Chheplung and Ghat and bridges suspension bridges covered with prayer flags. Once we arrive in Phakding, we will settle in lodge and relax for a day.
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11283ft). Trek time is 5/6 hour.
We will begin our trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11283ft) from Phakding after breakfast. This trek takes approximately 5-6 hours following the Dudh Koshi River, passing through lush pine forests and crossing multiple suspension bridges, including the well-known Hillary Suspension Bridges. As we continue our trek, it gets steeper, making it difficult to climb to Namche Bazaar. After that, we will reach Khumbu region, known as a trading hub surrounded by stunning Mountain View. We will explore the lively town and settle into a lodge to take rest.
Day04: Excursion day at Namche for acclimatization high altitude. Hike to Khumjung/Everest view hotel OR hike around Namche Bazaar.
In Namche Bazaar, for instance, the following day is devoted to acclimatization, which enables our body to adapt to the rising elevation. A short journey to Khumjung and the well-known Everest View Hotel (3,880m/12,726ft) offers stunning sweeping views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Everest, and other Himalayan peaks. With stops at the Khumjung Monastery and the famous school founded by Sir Edmund Hillary, the hike offers us a glimpse of the native way of life while passing through charming Sherpa communities. Before returning to Namche, take a leisurely break at the Everest View Hotel with a breathtaking view of the mountains. To ensure a well-rounded acclimatization experience, the remainder of the day might be spent touring Namche's busy marketplaces, bakeries, and museums
Day 05: Trek to Tengboche (3860m/`12660ft). Trek time is 6 hour.
After having breakfast, we will embark on a picture square trek to Tengboche (3860m/`12660ft) that takes about 6 hours , passing through rhododendron forest, and small Sherpa town along with a breathtaking views of Lhotse, Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. Before reaching Tengboche, we will begin a rigorous ascent through pine forests after descending to the Dudh Koshi River at Phunki Tenga. We will witness the Buddhist ceremonies and take a moment to enjoy the atmosphere at the well-known Tengboche Monastery, one of the biggest in the Khumbu region. Upon arrival at Tengboche we will take a rest in a lodge while taking in the stunning Himalayan surroundings.
Day 06: Trek to Pangboche (3985m/13070ft). Trek time is 3 hour.
We will embark on a short trek from Tengboche to Pangboche (3985m/13070ft) that takes about 3 hours passing through lush forests before climbing the Imja Khola which provides stunning views of Ama Dablam and other-capped mountains. The route will lead to Pangboche, after passing via Deboche where we will discover the unique Sherpa culture and the famous Pangboche Monastery. Once we reach to Pangboche, we will take a rest and prepare for the upcoming days at the higher elevations.
Day 07: Hike to AMA DABLAM BASE CAMP (4600m/15088ft). Hiking is steep up slope from the river to Base Camp and it takes 3 hour. We will arrange pack lunch for today from the lodge.
We will begin our trek about 3 hour to AMA DABLAM BASE CAMP (4600m/15088ft), which is a challenging ascent along a steep uphill trail from the river. The trail provides an opportunity to witness the beautiful sweeping views of the neighboring Himalayan peaks including Everest, Lhotse, and Thamserku. As we continue the trek, the scenery changes from dense greenery to rocky, alpine terrain as elevation rises. However, we will enjoy the magnificent Ama Dablam, one of the area's most recognizable mountains, when we arrive at the base camp.
Day 08: Trek Back to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11283ft). Trek time is 7 hour.
After having breakfast, we will return back to Namche Bazaar, retracing the trail through the scenic Khumbu Valley. We will pass through Pangboche and Deboche down the Imja Khola. The way afterwards drops steeply to Phunki Tenga before climbing steadily through rhododendron and pine trees. Before reaching the bustling town of Namche Bazaar, cross a number of suspension bridges and take in breathtaking views of the mountains. After a long day, take a seat at a teahouse and unwind while thinking back on the amazing voyage thus far.
Day 09: Trek to Phakding (2610m/8560m). Trek time is 5 hour.
We will begin our trek from Namche Bazaar to Phakding (2610m/8560m) passing through pine forests and crossing multiple suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. After crossing Sagarmatha National Park, we will go down the scenic riverbanks, passing past well-known settlements like Jorsalle and Monjo. Savor the tranquil surroundings and the steady descent in elevation, which enhances the comfort of the stroll. Before the last hike back to Lukla, enjoy the beautiful flora and lower elevation by relaxing by the riverside at a teahouse after we arrive in Phakding.
Day 10: Trek to Lukla (2820m/9249ft). Trek time is 4 hour.
This is the final leg day of the trek to Lukla (2820m/9249ft) that takes approximately 4-hours from Phakding. The route will go through verdant forests and charming Sherpa settlements like Ghat and Chheplung. We will also enjoy the last glimpse of the Himalayas and take in the serene alpine ambience. After landing in Lukla, check into an accommodation and take a rest before getting ready to go back to Kathmandu.
Day 11: Fly to Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel in Thamel.
Appreciate the breathtaking Himalayan landscape for the last time on a dawn flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. As soon as you arrive, we will transport you to a hotel in Thamel, the vibrant heart of Kathmandu, which is renowned for its eateries, boutiques, and vibrant atmosphere. After checking in and getting some rest, we had some time to explore Thamel's busy streets, where we enjoyed purchasing remembrance enjoy wonderful local cuisine, and discover more regarding the city's vibrant culture.
Day 12: Departure
Today is the time to begin getting prepared to go from Kathmandu. After that, you are driven to Tribhuvan International Airport so that you can get ready for your future trip. As you leave, keep in mind the incredible experiences, breathtaking landscapes, and valuable memories made during your trip across the Himalayas. Be careful on your journey!
