The journey begins in the lakeside city of Pokhara, where you'll soak in the tranquil ambiance of Phewa Lake before heading to the trailhead in Nayapul. From there, the trek leads you through picturesque villages like Tikhedhunga and Ulleri, where you'll encounter traditional Gurung and Magar communities known for their warm hospitality and rich cultural heritage.

As you ascend towards Ghorepani, the scenery transforms into dense forests of rhododendron and oak, teeming with diverse flora and fauna. Along the way, you'll be treated to stunning views of snow-capped peaks, including Annapurna South (7,219m) and Machhapuchhre (6,993m), reaching their pinnacle at the iconic Poon Hill viewpoint.

At Poon Hill, witness the spectacle of sunrise illuminating the Himalayan giants in a dazzling display of light and color. The panoramic vista from this vantage point is nothing short of breathtaking, offering a 360-degree panorama of some of the highest peaks in the world, including Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Manaslu (8,163m).

After savoring the sunrise spectacle, descend back to Nayapul, where you'll bid farewell to the mountains and return to Pokhara for a well-deserved rest and relaxation.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel in Thamel. Alt. (1350m/4428ft.)

Welcome to Kathmandu! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you must obtain an arrival visa stamp which could take up to an hour. After that, you will be meet your guide who is responsible for taking you in a private vehicle to your accommodation. On the way, you will catch a glimpse of Hindu temple known as Pashupatinath Temple, devoted to Lord Shiva (a UNESCO World Heritage). Once you arrive at your hotel you can unwind and get ready for the next several days.

Day 02: Fly to Pokhara. Transfer to hotel at Lakeside. 820m/2689ft.

After having an abundant breakfast, we will head to the airport for our scenic flight to Pokhara that takes approximately 20-25 minutes. During the flight, we will take in the incredible vistas of the Himalayan range, like Himalayan range, like Langtang (7,227 m), Ganesh Himal (7,422 m), Manaslu (8,163m), and Annapurna (8,091m).With Luck, we might catch a sight of the Fish-tail i.e. Mt.Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), a scared and iconic peak near Pokhara. Beyond that, we will witness rolling hills and valleys, rivers (Trishuli and Marshyangdi), and Lakes (Phewa Lake, and Begnas Lake). Immediately following arrival, we will be escorted to our hotel in Lakeside, where we can relax for the day before setting out for sightseeing stroll around the lakeside area.

Day 03: Drive to Kimche (1640m/5389 ft.) and trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6363ft). Drive time is 4 -5 hour and trek time is 2 hour.

We will drive to Kimche (1640m/ 5389 ft.) that takes around 4-5 hours depending on the road conditions. On the drive, we can see the stunning views of Phewa Lake and the surrounding hills & rice terraces, Seti River Gorge and many more. As we drive, we will pass through small local villages like Nayapul and Birethanti (Home of Magar and Gurung), a few waterfalls cascading down the hills and suspension bridges over small rivers. If the weather is clear then we might catch the glimpse of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail), and Hiunchuli in the distance. Upon arrival to Ghandruk (1940m/ 6363 ft.) we will have a short scenic uphill trek about 2 hours with beautiful landscapes, stoner-paved trails & staircases. On the trail. We will pass through a terrace of farmlands like rice, millet, and wheat terraces, depending on the seasons along with the traditional Gurung villages. There are some small streams and waterfalls, and Buddhist prayer flags on the way, making the journey refreshing. Once we reach to Ghandruk, we will be warmly greet by the Gurung community along with breathtaking mountain views.

Day 04: Trek to Tadapani (2630m/8626ft). Trek time is 4 hour.

It is a beautiful journey from Ghandruk to Tadapani that takes about 4 hours offering incredible Himalayan views along the way. After having a warm breakfast with breathtaking sunrise views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail). The trek involves a steady climb through lush rhododendron and oak forest along with birds and small wildlife like Langurs (black-faced monkeys) and Himalayan pheasants. If we are lucky, then we might see Nepal's national bird Danphe (Lophophorus). Along the way, we will also cross through small waterfalls and fresh streams. Bhaisi Kharka will be our resting point, where we will enjoy our tea break. Finally, when we reach to Tadapani we will catch up in one of the hotel enjoying the sunset over the mountains which is perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2860m/9380ft). Trek time is 6/7 hour.

This is our challenging day of our trekking from Tadapani to Ghorepani (2860m/9380ft) that takes approximately 6-7 hours. If the sky is clear, we can enjoy the sunrise views over the mountains of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail) along with warm breakfast. Our trek began with a steep descent through dense forests of rhododendron and oak, reaching Banthanti (2520m) tea break. Then we will cross few wooden bridges, lush forest and also get glimpses of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges occasionally as we climb. We will reach Deurali Pass (3090m) about 3 hours before reaching to Ghorepani. As we reach to Ghorepani, we will be warmly greet by Gurung and Magar village. 

Day 06: Early in the morning, Hike to POONHILL (3210m/10528ft) for Sunrise and Panoramic view of the mountains.

This is our most exciting and rewarding day of our trek to Poonhill (3210m/10528ft.) Early in the morning, we will hike to Poonhill about 1 hour for a breathtaking view of the sunrise over the Himalayas. And for that we have to wake up before down, to witness one of the best sunrises that slowly lights up the peaks of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m), Machhapuchhre (Fishtail, 6997m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Nilgiri (7061m) and many more. Then we will return back to Ghorepani for breakfast and freshen up to prepare ourselves for the down trek. We will descend from Ghorepani to Bhanthanti that takes approximately 4 hours through a lush forest of rhododendrons. When we reach Deurali pass after 2 hour, we will catch a glimpse of the mountains and have a small break at that Banthanti takes about 2 hours from Deurali. There we will take our private transportation to Pokhara, which takes about 4 hours.  Once reach there we will relax in our hotel having a good meal.

Day 07: R&R in Pokhara.

We can prefer it a lazy day after having several days of trekking. So, today is all about enjoying the peaceful vibe of Pokhara. After having a breakfast with mountain views we can walk along the Phewa Lake or get massage or spa treatment to relive sore muscles. Besides that, we can also visit Davis Falls & Gupteshwor Cave, Mahendra Cave, Shanti Stupa, and many more. We can chill at a lakeside café with mountain views. And, if feel like going out for live music and drinks there are many places to visit in evening.

Day 08: Fly to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel.

After a refreshing stay in Pokhara, we will take a flight back to Kathmandu that will take about 25 minutes. Once we reach Kathmandu, we will check into our hotel. Depending on our energy level we can either rest at a hotel or explore nearby Thamel markets.

Day 09: City Guided tour of World UNESCO Heritage Sites.

  1. Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, OR,
  2. Swoyambhunath/Kathmandu Darbar Square OR
  3. Patan Darbar Square, Bhaktapur Darbar Square.

Today is the day of exploring the Kathmandu Valley iconic UNESCO Heritage Sites filled with cultural, royal palaces, ancient temples, and spiritual land-marks. We will choose one of the three sign settings as mentioned above depending on time and interest. If we choose Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, then we will explore the spiritual and cultural value. If we choose Swayambhunath/Kathmandu Durbar Square, then we will explore the history and architecture. Lastly, if Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, then we will explore the ancient cities and Newari Heritage. Each destination is about 4-5 hours.

Day 10: Departure:

This is the final day of our journey through the Himalayas and Kathmandu valley. After checking your flight details we will ensure you leave for the airport at least 3 hours before departure
