Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.
Welcome to Kathmandu! Upon arrival at Tribuvan International Airport, you have to take stamp of arrival visa in the airport which might take an hour. You will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel in a private vehicle. On the way, you will catch a glimpse of the Hindu temple- Pashupatinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Once you arrive at your hotel, you can relax and prepare yourself for upcoming days ahead.
Day 2: Travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara by flight or drive.
After having a warm breakfast, we will head to the airport for our scenic flight to Pokhara, which takes about 20 -25 minutes. During the flight, we will explore the breathtaking views of the Himalayan range, like Langtang (7,227 m), Ganesh Himal (7,422 m), Manaslu (8,163m), and Annapurna (8,091m). If we are lucky then we might even glimpse the Fish-tail i.e. Mt.Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), a scared and iconic peak near Pokhara. Beyond that, we will witness rolling hills and valleys, rivers (Trishuli and Marshyangdi), and Lakes (Phewa Lake, and Begnas Lake). Upon landing, we will transfer to our hotel in Lakeside, where we can relax before setting out for sightseeing stroll around the lakeside area.
Day 3: Drive to Nayapul and begin trekking to Ghandruk village.
After having a warm breakfast, we will take a 1 hour drive to Nayapul which is the starting point of Annapurna Base Camp. We will pass through a beautiful scenery of nature, rural landscapes and traditional villages on the way by crossing the suspension bridge over the Bhurungdi River. As we reach Nayapul, we will walk along the Modi River and pass through Birethani, a checkpoint for permits. Then we will continue our trek to Ghandruk which takes about 5-6 hours through lush forest, terraced farmlands, and small settlements. In Syauli Bazar, the ascent became steeper leading up to Ghandruk (2,012m). In Ghandruk, we will be welcomed warmly by the village of Gurung community. There we will witness the stunning views of Annapurna South, Himchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail). We can also visit the Gurung Museum to learn about local culture
Day 4: Trek from Ghandruk (1,940m) to Chhomrong village (2,170m)
We will leave a beautiful village of Ghandruk and begin our trek to Chhomrong village that take approximately 4-5 hours. The routes leads us through the rivers, forests, and traditional settlements, crossing a bridge over the Kimrong River to reach Chhomrong (2,170m). Before reaching Chhomrong we will witness the breathtaking views of Macchapuchhre (Fish- tail), Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Annapurna. Upon reaching Chhomrong, we will explore the beautiful village where we can interact with the Gurung community, and enjoy a hearty meal while soaking in the mesmerizing mountain views. The peaceful environment along with a stunning surrounding of greenery and mountain views make it a perfect place for relaxation before continuing our journey.
Day 5: Trek from Chhomrong to Bamboo through lush forests.
After an early warm breakfast, we will continue our journey towards Bamboo that takes about 5-6 hours, nestled within the lush forests of the Annapurna region. Our trek started with a steep descent down a series of stone steps to the Chhomrong River, then crossing a suspension bridge. Once we reach to Sinuwa (2,340m), we will pass through rhododendron and oak forest which will lead us to lower and Upper Sinuwa, offering mesmerizing views of surrounding peaks. On progress, we will pass through Kuldi Ghar, before reaching to Bamboo (2,310m). In Bamboo, we will overstay there in one of the tea houses, with sounds of nature providing a peaceful ambiance for relaxation.
Day 6: Continue trekking from Bamboo to Deurali.
After a peaceful night in Bamboo, we will head toward Deurali, which brings us closer to the Annapurna Sanctuary. This journey will lead us to steep ascents, lush forests, and breathtaking landscapes. We will pass through dense bamboo and rhododendron forests leading us to Dovan, then move forward to Hinku Cave. After that, we will cross the Modi River and climb toward Deurali (3,200m), where we will capture the breathtaking view of Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail), Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Gangapura. Once we reach Deurali, we will enjoy a warm meal and prepare ourselves for the final approach to Annapurna Base Camp.
Day 7: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp, surrounded by spectacular Himalayan vistas.
Today is the most exciting and rewarding day of the trek, as we will head to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) that takes approximately 5-6 hours, surrounded by the breathtaking Himalayan peaks. Early in the morning we will begin our journey from Deurali (3,200m), passing through the Modi Khola valley. The trail passes through Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC), where we can see the outstanding view of Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail), Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Gangapurna. As we go deeper, we can go through moraine and glacial terrain, in order to reach Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m). As we reach there, we will see the breathtaking view of some of the world’s highest peaks, including Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna South, Baraha Shikhar, Machhapuchhre, and Hiunchuli. We will stay overnight there and enjoy a warm meal enjoying the incredible views of mountains with stars in the sky.
Day 8: Descend from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo.
Our journey begins after witnessing a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna Massif, from Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m). We will return back to Bamboo (2,310m), and for that we will start to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m) which gives an opportunity to soak in the magnificent views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail), and Gangapurna. We will continue to descend through Deurali (3,200m) and Hinku Cave, the landscape transitions from glacial moraine to alpine meadows and eventually back into a dense forest of bamboo and rhododendron. While passing through Dovan (2,600m), before reaching Bamboo (2,310m), where we will rest for the night surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature. The total trek will take approximately 7 hours.
Day 9: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda, known for its natural hot springs.
Our journey will begin from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1,780m) which is known for its natural hot springs that takes about 5-6 hours. We will follow the Chhomrong River and cross suspension bridges heading toward a stone steps to Chhomrong village (2,170m) for a short break along with views of Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail) and Annapurna South. Then, we take a steep descent toward Jhinu Danda (1,780m), passing through beautiful forests and traditional terraced farmlands. Once we reached, we checked into a teahouse and hiked down to the Jhinu Hot Springs which is about 15 to 20 minutes below the village by the Modi Khola River. There, we can soak in the natural spring warm water to relax our tired muscles after days of trekking. After relaxation, we will return back to our teahouse where we enjoy our meal in peaceful surroundings.
Day 10: Trek from Jhinu Danda to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara.
After having a warm breakfast, we will leave Jhinu Danda (1,780m) and head toward Nayapul (1,070m). We will follow the Modi Khola River, passing through lush forests, terraced farmland and beautiful village. This trek will take approximately 5-6 hours to reach Nayapul, marking as the end of our beautiful journey in the Annapurna region. From there our private vehicle back to Pokhara, which takes about 2 hours. Once we reach to Pokhara, we will check into our hotel and take a rest of the day for relax or explore the Lakeside depending on the situation.
Day 11: Travel back to Kathmandu from Pokhara.
We will take a flight back to Kathmandu from Pokhara which takes about 25 minutes. Once we reach Kathmandu, we will check into our hotel and have the rest of the day free of leisure or sightseeing near the Thamel area.
Day 12: Depart from Kathmandu, marking the end of your trekking adventure.
This is final day of our trek, where our journey comes to an end with lots of memories. Depending on the fight schedule, we will departure to the airport and bid farewell until our next meeting.
